FK Liepaja still runs a training camp in Cyprus in preparation for the 2020 season.

Yesterday, February 20, Liepaja played a test match against Armenian club FC Ararat - Armenia. In a very exciting fight, suffered a minimal loss of 1: 2. The only goals was scored by Richard Friday. FK Liepāja head coach Andrejs Kaļiņins put on the game a relatively second set-up, with first line-up players only put on the field during the end of the game. So it is difficult to judge the strength of both teams. Most team worked on completing their tasks and polishing the combinations, putting the result in the background. The next test game is on February 22, when FK Liepaja will meet with Helsinborg IF.

The last addition of FK Liepaja - Rami Bedoui has arrived to Cyprus. A Tunisian national team player, who has recently played very well in the World Cup.

For Rami Bedoui (30 y.o.), this will be his first experience in Europe, having spent almost his entire career in the Tunisian local championship. The player will form the central defence of the FK Liepaja team, together with brasilian player Gerson. It can be said that Liepaja has found a replacement to Tobers.

FK Liepāja will start Optibet virslīga on 14th march, where it will visit Daugavpils FC.
