On July 21st, FK Liepaja played in away match of Optibet Virsliga with FK Jelgava, but even though both teams had the opportunity to score, none of them did so and the final match result stayed unchanged 0:0. FK Liepaja returned from Minsk holding their heads up, as it has been the second time FK Liepaja won 1/8 Euro Cup qualification since the Club existed. They have tied the home game, but in an away match with the powerhouse FC Dinamo Minsk lost with 2:1 score. Now the game calendar of FK Liepaja is very busy, as there are not only the games of Premier League, but also Europe League and Latvia Football Cup. Tomorrow, on July 24th, FK Liepaja goes to Sweden to have next day the first game of 1/4 Euro Cup qualification against IFK Norrkoping who left out Irish St. Patrick’s in 1/8 Euro Cup qualification. FK Liepaja came to Sweden in their formally full-strength makeup, also Janis Ikaunieks returned from injury, who did not go to Minsk due to his ankle trauma.
